New Irish Music

irish-songsThe Curragh Sons Irish band have been busy learning some new songs for the busy gig season ahead. Rumour has it the band are currently in rehearsals, busy fine-tuning a completely new set!

The addition of Dave ‘fleet-of-fingers’ Molynuex on Bass guitar means yet another new-dawn arrives in this ever changing Irish Band’s line-up. And with that new dawn comes a new set-list. Songs by artists as diverse as Townes Van Zandt, Steve Earle, The Dubliners and Sandy Denny, as well as a hearty handful of original material.

More Irish music than you can shake a shillelagh at and more. After a particularly hectic wedding season it’s good to see the sons taking their foot off the gas slightly to restock their repertoire with a fine selection of tunes, jigs, reels and songs.

Good lad Young Higham, from the ever-youthful Curragh Grandad, Woodford. Looking forward to hearing Massey whack it out at the Moon tomorrow.
